The city has developed a transition plan to make its streets, sidewalks and trails more accessible, as outlined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The transition plan specifically addresses city policies, programs and steps needed to ensure public facilities within public right-of-way are ADA compliant and accessible to all individuals.

The City of Crystal ADA Transition Plan provides a better understanding of the city's work to improve access for everyone in the right-of-way, including the addition of pedestrian ramps with truncated domes and audible pedestrian signals.
