Community Meeting on Infrastructure Funding - May 27
Posted on 05/18/2026
The City of Crystal invites residents and business owners to a community information meeting on Wednesday, May 27 at 6 p.m. at Crystal City Hall.
The city is facing rising costs to maintain and replace aging streets and utility systems, including water, stormwater, and sewer infrastructure. As part of the 2027 budget process, the Crystal City Council is reviewing funding options for these long-term needs.
Options under discussion include a general levy increase, special assessments, bonds, and franchise fees. Each approach distributes costs differently across the community and over time.
Community input will help guide the city council as it continues work on the 2027 budget.
