CRYSTAL STANDS FOR COMMUNITY STRENGTH
Posted on 01/25/2026
On Jan. 20, 2026, the Crystal City Council adopted a resolution reaffirming our community’s core values of inclusion, safety, and compassion.
The Council recognizes that recent federal immigration enforcement activity has caused fear and uncertainty for many. Crystal remains a welcoming community where everyone — regardless of national origin or physical characteristics — deserves to feel safe, respected, and free from discrimination or harassment.
The Crystal Police Department continues its long-standing focus on serving all residents and visitors with compassion and professionalism, and does not assist in federal immigration enforcement.
This resolution also:
- Condemns violations of anyone’s rights, liberty, or safety
- Honors neighbors helping neighbors.
- Calls for peace, humanity, and compassion.
Crystal is strongest when we stand together.
