Get Involved in Crystal's Climate Action Plan
Posted on 12/02/2025
Resilient Crystal 2025 logoThe City of Crystal is launching Resilient Crystal 2035—its first climate action plan. This roadmap will guide how our community prepares for climate impacts, strengthens resilience, and supports a sustainable future.

We want your voice in the process of creating it. There are three ways to participate:
✅ Take the community survey.
✅ Share your climate future story.
✅ Apply to join the planning team.

THE PLANNING TEAM

The city is forming the Resilient Crystal Plan (RCP) Team, a collaborative group that will help co-create the plan by exploring, reviewing, and prioritizing strategies to achieve Crystal’s climate action goals. The RCP Team will include city staff, representatives from partner agencies, commissioners, and community members.

Participation offers a hands-on opportunity to shape the future of Crystal’s sustainability efforts. Team members will attend four workshop sessions between February and April 2026 and complete brief tasks between meetings—an estimated commitment of about four hours per month. No technical background is required, just an interest in helping build a more resilient, thriving community.

Learn more about the project, take the survey, share your story or join the team (deadline Dec. 18) at go.crystalmn.gov/resilient.

Development of Resilient Crystal 2035 is guided by the Crystal City Council and the Sustainability Commission, reflecting the city’s commitment to environmental stewardship and community well-being. The plan will highlight ways Crystal can protect its natural resources, reduce energy costs, and create healthier neighborhoods—now and for generations to come.
