Dear Residents,
The 2025 street and utility reconstruction project in your neighborhood started on Idaho with sanitary sewer on Monday. The following is a two-week schedule outlining the specific construction activities, and information for you on how to handle your garbage/recycle, parking, and mail. Jersey Ave. work is projected to start near the middle of August.

Proposed Two-week Construction Schedule (Idaho Ave.)

Aug. 4 – 8
• Utility disconnects, excavation, and removal of driveways.
• Temporary water set up. These are the temporary lines that will keep water to your house. Your line will be dug under your driveway.
• Installation of new underground utilities, mainline (water, sewer).
Aug. 11 – 15
• Installation of new water and sanitary services to your house.
Aug. 18 – 22
• Street grading, including excavation of the existing soils, installation of sand, and gravel.

Traffic Impacts and Parking
During the construction period, there will be no on-street parking on Idaho Ave. N. between 30th Ave. N. and 31st Ave. N. for the duration of the project. Please, park your vehicles on 30th Ave. N. or 31st Ave. N. if you need your vehicle between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. while work is being conducted on Idaho Ave. N. After 7 p.m. each day, you can access back to your driveway. Parking restrictions will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the workday. The city will provide specific parking instructions if certain areas need to be temporarily closed off.

Garbage Collection
Please bring your garbage/recycle cans to the end of your driveway on garbage day. The contractor will take your garbage/recycle bins to a location to be picked up by your garbage hauler and return the bins to your driveway. We recommend writing your address on each of your cans on a piece of duct tape or something similar so that you receive the correct bin back.

Mail Delivery
Mail will continue to be delivered as usual throughout the construction period. If there are any temporary disruptions, we will notify you promptly.

Coordination with Private Utility Providers
We are coordinating with private utility companies to do some relocations during construction. If they need to perform work on your property, they will notify you of that work prior. There may be brief disruptions to gas or electric services, but advance notice will be given of any planned outages or disruptions.

Weather Considerations
Please remember that the project is weather-dependent, and activities may be delayed if adverse conditions arise. We will keep you informed of any schedule changes as they occur.
