The Sustainable Tour of Crystal website is live! This virtual tour highlights municipal and residential sustainable practices such as sustainable home and garden projects, creative ideas, and everyday green practices around the community. The tour includes the edible courtyard at the Crystal Community Center, EV chargers at Hennepin County Library- Rockford Road, backyard chickens, pollinator gardens, and more.

Water Meter Radio Transmitter Upgrades

The City of Crystal is upgrading water meter radio transmitters throughout the community at no direct cost to homeowners. As work progresses, residents may notice members of the Public Works team on their property to complete the installation. Most upgrades will be quick and non-intrusive, and staff will identify themselves when onsite.

Crystal Revamps Parking Permit Process

The survey includes opportunities to share comments and is open through Sept. 30. Help Shape the Future of Crystal Recreation

The Crystal Recreation Department has launched a community-wide Recreation Needs Assessment Survey, giving participants of all ages the opportunity to help shape the future of local programming, events and services. The survey is designed to gather feedback on current recreation offerings, identify barriers that may prevent participation, and spark new community opportunities. Whether participants are frequent park users, partake occasionally or have never enrolled in a class, all feedback is welcome and will help ensure city resources are prioritized effectively.

Sign up for SMART911 Emergency Notifications

The City of Crystal, through the West Metro Fire-Rescue District, is working with Smart911 to notify residents via email, text, phone or social media when there are emergencies. To receive these mass notifications, residents must opt in, sign up for an account and share the varying levels of information that they want police, fire and EMS to utilize when responding to a 9-1-1 call.
